Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy of Grand Junction; and one son, Sean of Grand Junction.

October 4, 1944 - August 14, 2015

Michael died on August 14, 2015, after a long and brave battle with cancer.

He was born on October 4, 1944, in Lisbon, ND to Viola and Alvin Berg.

Michael graduated from Wishek High School in North Dakota in 1962. He later went on to serve his country in Vietnam during the Vietnam War as an airplane mechanic. He moved to Colorado in the early 1970's and held a wide variety of jobs.

He met and married Tracy Tanner in Aurora, Colorado on September 27, 1991. After living and working in Aurora for ten years the couple and their son moved to Grand Junction. They have happily called Grand Junction home since 2001.

Michael was never happier then when he was camping and fishing with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy and his much loved son, Sean, both of Grand Junction, CO.

A memorial service will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on August 22, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
