i was just in the best mood ever and all of a sudden i started crying. i miss you so much it’s hard to get through my head that woah u really aren’t going to be here for these precious moments. volleyball just ended i’m actually really good at it. every time i mess up i get so mad and think that you’re disappointed in me. on the court the only thing i can think about is you. and how you’re watching over me. i play so hard for u. i really wish u could be there. it’s so hard to know that ur not coming back i miss you so much dad. it’s been 6 years and i still can’t get it through my head. why cant my fantasies of u showing up just come true. god why did u have to leave so soon. you didn’t get to experience anything with me dad. i’ll be in 8th grade in 3 months i was in first grade when u died. crazy huh? it doesn’t feel like 6 years at all. i just needed a good cry so that’s why i’m writing. i love you always always always and forever. please don’t give up on me. i love you. 

today i had to attend a funeral for one of my friends. he also committed, he was only 13 years old. i just wish i knew what was going through people’s head dad. i try my best to help people who have those thoughts but at this point i think they just know how much i care and they like that attention. i always put my all into helping people calling them, texting them, hugging them, making sure they won’t leave me, or their family’s. i know that i’m a good friend and my friends know i’m always here to talk to but sometimes it’s too much on me when 3 different people are all upset at the same time and they all come to me. it’s really hard on me. i wish i could talk to u about it. i know i was only 7 when u left but sometimes i zone out and wonder if i could have said something to u to make sure u didn’t leave that night. but nobody could’ve. everything happens for a reason.  i miss you so much. today was the first funeral i’ve went to since yours. it was so hard but i’m honestly glad i went. i cried so much. your 6 year death anniversary is coming up. 6 years ? that’s a lot. i’ve made it though i’m proud of myself for staying strong for a whole 6 years without u. mom keeps me strong through everyday and i’m so thankful for her. missing you so so so much right now. i love you. always&forever <3.

God Nels what I would give to have you back ..this is soo miserable at time some days I wanna give up... But this little girl of ours is so damn strong ..she lights up my life...every bad thought disappears when her and I have our talks bout us as a family.. we always laugh at something silly one of us remembers about you babe..You are the man who made me a better person.. and your little girl is so much like you I love it everyday is more and more .. Uncle Nels, I still come to read everyone's memories almost everyday. It kinda freshens mine and I start to remember some times with you. I know you remember grape, Apple, cherryyyy hahaha you're the funniest. My dad found the little guy rowing the canoe you made out of wood. Remember that? You worked on that thing til your fingers bled hahaha. I remember we would all get home from fishing and we'd line up all the catches of the day and do photo ops for a good 30 minutes, or as long as I could keep you and my dad into it haha. Oh Uncle Nelson how I miss you so much. Dad doesn't talk about it much but I'm sure you've heard from him. If not you should know he loves and misses you as well. We all do. Forever and ever. Watch over those two pretty ladies you've got. Give them strength and stay with them always.

After persuading my mom to let me sneak him downstairs on the sofabed. Only to avoid late curfew and being grounded by MY dad sucked!! then him being too loud i told him to come to my bed so he wouldnt talk so loud i was hoping but no,, here comes my mom downstairs as angrily and fast as she could.. Nels..well..being Nels (lol) and half-drunk  actually jumped up to his feet fully clothed boots and all scared to death of my mom yelling ballcap tipped sideways you know the way it'd get when Nels shoulda been cut off 4-8shots earlier and there he spoke ---
"" No please Mom, I'm sorry, I just want to sleep with your daughter! "" I had no choice but to Crack up with uncuntrollable laughter!!! she replied with extreme rage well rage coming from my kind mother. . you're so lucky her Dad isn't home he'd beat the living daylights out of you....Now go to sleep!!!!!! Kimberly you are going to work tomorrow  (6am) no matter what! ""Yes mom i promise to shut him up!"" So without any other option 5 a.m came quite quickly,, maybe it was the hungover part of my brain lacking the correct fluids IDK but for some reason  I told Nels -this stranger to me btw i was dating his friend Ryan, i never saw nels before in my entire life til he slithers his body into the backseat of my moving car. I am now  threatening him that he has 25 min to bring my car back,,, sure enough ,here pulls in my Baretta followed by a white lifted 87chev..and Bob aka zztop with red go-T lol,,, long story shortafter some persistence on nels part  2 wks later Nels and I went out on our first date and we're inseperable ever since,, many of our dates involved that 87chevy and sleeping in the cab til daylight after we got stuck in the desert and good ol Bob pulling us out along with my brother and uncle Scott and rarely Nels needed the ol John deere but I had to make that phone call to my Dad..  it took a few many years before he quit be intimidated by my Dad Lol good job Dad!! :) as for  ""Maria and I, we were just telling this story of having to sneak nels into my basement to avoid late curfew,  my dad got quite the chuckle so thanks M?MMY you are the best M?M ever!!!  I guess my mom kept her word and never told him....lol. dad and Nels grew very close over the years along with my bro Kurt(Penny)and him and our nephew Jordan. Other Bro Steve-sis Julie, sis Suzanne,cousins Trent/Tara.. Keith Terrell,Ryan/Shelby ,..not to mention all my neices and nephews who only knew NELS AS ""Uncle smells""mostly since birth
He LOVED EVERY Minute Of EVERYONE & every Memory WITH Each Of our neices/Nephews:Jordan,Tiff chey chey, Kuerst,Corbin,Breonna,Garret,Hunter,, my family treated him so at home he felt welcomed in immediately then there was always his adopted home away from home nephew/neice dewey&LeaShawn, with Bob & Jan who welcomed me im right away..then Coy,Cade,Cail Mar/Kuerst  and AddyW/Dan&Renee/Dan plus several more but these were on his top 20 list aka Uncle Smells loved each and everyone of them with pure love and had their backs no matter what!!!! You wanna piss Nels off? Mess with his daughter or neice or nephew..its on!! Right guys,  I know I saw a few scared p.o.s.father's who were told how it iS and how it's gonna be for these kids if not than look the fuck out!!  his love for my family, his close friends, his own,,uncle Scott,Nate, Mar,Josh,Brad,Marc..Dave Fowle, John Fowle,  Randy, Shane MaCcormack, Seth, Tyson,  to him family was family whether it to be blood, in laws or friends so the bigger the better! !!friends meant everything to this man and always will

Babe, I don't know how to say goodbye to you, I hope you see how many lives you have touched and how many people did truely love you- just like how you loved and cared for everyone that entered into your life... I just wish we had more time I know you knew I loved you but I don't think you know that I think you are the strongest bravest man who has overcome so much in your 37 years.... but no matter what you were dealing with, and I know I knew  some of how hard it was for you , i wish you told me more but no matter what you kept ""your Angel"", your precious daughter smiling & laughing always???  I promise to be strong for the three of us and I promise that Kynzie will learn everything you were going to teach her and I promise I will keep her strong always!!! You are the best father I've ever seen a child to have and I hope you know that Babe!! Kynzie's memories of her amazing father will forever be with her, I promise you that. My heart has been broken since I heard the news of your beloved Nels
Such a devestating loss to all. So unbearably sad.
Mike and I were so lucky to have thousands and thousands of hours with our children and yours growing up together and for us to be in Nels life the first quarter of his life.
He was always so good and kind to Blake and Bobbie Jo and the heart of a saint.
I remember all of us going and cutting Christmas Trees with Kath and Mitch, AC and Gail and all our Lake Powell trips.

I have many fun memories of hanging out and playing with Nels & Nate when we were little kids.  I remember forcing him to play in the playhouse with me, even though im sure he really didn't want to.  He had a kind soul and always made me laugh. He will be greatly missed.

I met Nels many years ago through Nate. Its been many years since I have seen him but I remember his contagious smile. I am sure this was not the case for many of you, but Nels was pretty quiet around me si when he did chime in it was usually a real zinger. My condolences, hugs and prayers to you all.
