Norval Ray Hinkle

He was born on December 3, 1935, to Pauline and Woody Hinkle, alongside his three brothers, Donnie, George, and Walter.

Norval married Barbara Jean Tomasi on January 31, 1959. Norval and Barbara raised four children- daughters, Renee and Cara Lee; and sons, Lynny Ray (deceased) and Vince. Barbara and Norval were married for 40 years, until she went to be with God in May of 1999.

Norval was fortunate to have a second chance for love when he met Darlene Lake Park. They were married on October 6, 2000, and Norval became a father to three more daughters, Amy, Michelle, and Lisa; and another son, Darrin.

Norval was in the building materials industry for over 40 years. He worked at Salt Lake Hardware, Biggs & Kurtz, Wholesale Building Supply, Boise Cascade, and Denning Lumber. His work ethic was exemplary. He could count on one hand the number of days he called in sick. Many looked up to him as an example to follow. He was a gentleman like no other.

A celebration of life will take place Monday, December 21st at 1 pm at New Covenant Baptist Church. A committal service will follow at 2:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
