Oleta LaVern Pruitt, mother to Christopher, Pennie, Cynthia and Sandra, passed away on January 27th, 2026, at the age of 89. Her final moments were spent peacefully in Grand Junction, Colorado, surrounded by 3 generations of her family.
Known for her beautiful smile, her generosity, selfless service to others and kind heart, Oleta will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Oleta’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She is survived by a sister, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
A public ceremony will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday February 6th at 11am, preceded by a Rosary Prayer at 10am. Flowers and memorial gifts or if desired, gifts to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or Hope West are welcome but not necessary.
