Paul G. Bailey

September 27, 1984May 9, 2013

Paul Garold Bailey passed away in his sleep on May 8, 2013 at his home in Grand Junction Colorado.

Paul was born on September 27, 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona; he graduated from Palisade High School in 2003. He attended Colorado Mesa University, always trying to learn and better himself. Paul worked as a CNC Machinist at Lewis Engineering.

Paul loved to spend time at Lake Powell diving off the red cliffs and hanging out on the boat and shoreline with his friends and family. A favorite pastime was making things that went “bang”, much to the worry of dad and mom, and the Sheriff’s Department! Paul had an unquenchable desire to learn and create. His greatest passion was expressing himself in song. He always inspired others to question all things and to seek out their own truths. His heart was full of love and compassion, always wanting the best for others, and always making us smile. He loved and respected many.

Paul, the memories you gave to us will always be greatly cherished. From your antics as a little boy eating “basegetti” (what little spaghetti ever made it into your mouth), playing in the pool with your favorite horse; aka - your big brother Adam, and strumming on your first guitar at four years old – until all the strings broke. That little guitar led to your love of music and rockin’ out in your band – Dualakoo!

Paul is survived by his parents: Gary Bailey and Karie (Randy) Schwark of Grand Junction. His older brother; Adam Bailey of Grand Junction, stepbrothers; Jordan and Daniel Schwark of Grand Junction, stepsister; DeAna Schwark of Grand Junction, grandparents; Ernie and Ida Bailey of Cedaredge, grandmother; Kathaleen Barnes of Thompson Falls, Montana; grandmother, Janet Schwark of Grand Junction, his nephew Kayl Bailey, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, and far too many friends to list.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, 2014 at 1PM at Fellowship Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin Mortuary.

From your Hearts:

…”A talented, beautiful man. I'll never forget your enthusiasm for life and how you always had a kind word or joke. I miss you and I hope and pray that you know how much you were loved. You were one of my favorite people in life. You had an awesome personality and could make anyone smile! It was contagious bro. …”

…”. You were truly one in a million.”

…”Even though I had only met him once, that memory will be with me for the rest of my life.”

…”What I do know is that he was one of the brightest shining stars in my sky, and his memory, humor, and beautiful caring spirit is a part of who I am…”

…” I am proud to have called him one of my most treasured friends, and to hold so many precious memories together. What I do know is that he was one of the brightest shining stars in my sky, and his memory, humor, and beautiful caring spirit is a part of who I am……You were the sweetest man, making sure I was comfortable and always having a good time. The love and talent you shared with so many people will definitely be missed. ….I will be seeing you in the clouds where we will sing and dance like nobody's watching….”

…”You were so kind hearted and so humorous to say the least. My favorite thing about you was that you were an encourager and made people feel welcome. I'll always think of you when I hear Queen You my friend, I'll see you behind those pearly gates!...” …”You were one of the most charismatic people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. There was no such thing as a bad time with you, every time we were together it was all laughs, singing, and an amazing memory. Poflava, the flava ta sava! That's for sure. Hard to believe you’re gone. Much love bro. Rest in peace. Be with God and watch out for all those who will be mourning you for a long time to come. And may the Lord take you and show you his kingdom, which is far more glorious then this world! I love you bro. See you on the other side!”

…” You did something so nice for a complete stranger that's just the kind of dude you were...I am at a loss for words …”
