On June 14th, 1940 Pearl Bell Dean was born in Rifle, CO beginning her adventurous, interesting journey through life. She graced those who knew her with love and wisdom, staying true to her experiences and beliefs. Pearl's hard work ethic and determination were unmatched. She was a mother, rancher, business owner, telephone operator and worked for Union Carbide. She enjoyed the outdoors, taking many fishing trips to Oregon and Alaska. She often boasted about the bear she killed (that bear got bigger every year). Pearl was skilled at many things, including arts and crafts but she cherished her children and grandchildren above all. Her sometimes rough and tough exterior was just a cover for the sweetest person with the biggest heart. On Friday, February 17, 2017 Pearl began her next journey. She will be deeply missed by many and will be celebrated and cherished forever. Pearl was preceded in death by her daughter Becky and son Bobby. Pearl is survived by her brother Dale Dean, sister Mary Ellen Kinney, and son James Clauson as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be May 27, 2017 at Veterans Park, Silt, CO at 11:00 a.m.
