My Dear Preston,
  We had just gotten back together as friends after 40 yrs. You had come over to the house, and we talked and talked about the good old Ranch days back in 1975 .  
  How much fun and how much work You, Jerry, and Robert did.  We had so many Great times.
  I had planned to have more Great times with you my Dear Friend.  I am so thankful I got to talk with you.
  I have to think of it this way, you had allot of heart problems, God knew it was going to be very, very painful for you.  And God, being a Loving God, kept you from that.                               All of my Love to You,  Diann Shelnutt Lesko

Preston you were a friend that I considered a brother.  You were a mentor to me & someone I knew always had my back whether we were working security or not.  You had a love for life with a heart of gold & would literally give the shirt off your back to someone in need.  I still can't believe you're gone.  I will never forget you. See you on the other side brother.

I remember Preston on the firing line during the NRA classes put on by the Grand Valley Training Club.  Preston was so good with the students in helping them acquire the knowledge skills and attitude to finish the NRA course and continue to be a responsible firearms owner.

I also remember Preston stopping by while I was doing some sprinkler maintenance at Mesa College. The short conversations were uplifting and a good relaxing break form the arduous task that I had before me.
