Raedelle Hussey Mundy

Raedelle Mundy passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 9, 2024, at her home in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by one sister and her parents. Raedelle is survived by her four children; Tracy Mundy of Grand Junction, Darin Mundy (Donna) of Mesa, Arizona, David Mundy of Grand Junction, and Daniel Mundy (Cinnamon). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Raedelle was born to Elton Charles and Leone (Rogers) Hussey on August 9, 1935, in Ogden, Utah. Her childhood found her living in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona where, in 1952, she graduated from High School. In 1962 Raedelle married Donald J Mundy and they were blessed with four children. Initially, the family made their home in Southern California but later moved to Grand Junction where they have planted roots since 1972.

Raedelle made an incredible impact on the community by serving as a Nurse (St. Marys), Educator, (Mesa Community College), and Administrator (VA Medical Center), realizing her path to make health care her passion and profession. She, along with other community leaders, brought Hospice to Grand Junction and was instrumental in building the organization from the beginning.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 2542 G Road in Grand Junction on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Services begin at 10:30 am.
