Rebecca “Becky” (Enriquez) Gold was born on January 18, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vidal and Elizabeth Enriquez. She went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2022 in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 78.
She graduated high school and junior college in Sterling, Colorado. She moved to Farmington, New Mexico where she worked for El Paso Natural Gas, then Meridian Oil until her retirement.
She married Paul Gold on October 7, 1996. They moved to Grand Junction in 1998. She worked for D51 School District in Grand Junction until her second retirement. During that time, Becky faithfully cared for her mother until her passing in Grand Junction in 2005.
She loved the Lord with all her heart. She faithfully attended Templo Sinai in Farmington, NM; Junction Community Church (formerly Zion Assembly of God) in Grand Junction; and Victory Life Church in Fruita. She was a much-loved Sunday School teacher for many years.
She was generous, fun-loving, witty and happy. Her laughter and giggles were contagious. She enjoyed shopping for clothes and jewelry and always looked stylish, something all her nieces will miss. She loved children and animals, even referring to her pets as her babies. She had a way of making everyone who came around feel welcome and special.
She is survived by her loving husband Paul. Also remaining are siblings Daniel Enriquez (wife-Carmen) from Joliet, Illinois; Jean Garza (husband-Dave) from Denver, Colorado; Ketta Enriquez from Atlanta, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. There is also a beloved fur baby named Rocky that is mourning her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vidal and Elizabeth Enriquez; brother, Louie Enriquez (wife - Inez); and sister, Dixie Lamon.
A Celebration of Life for Becky will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary & Crematory, 2515 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, Colorado 81505.
