He was a construction worker.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy A. Chavez Bailey; sons, Cayce Bailey of Washington, and Steven Chavez of Grand Junction; daughters, Salina (Derrick) Shaffer, and Sarah (Jesse) Eldredge, both of Grand Junction, Jennifer Johnson of Colorado Springs, and Desi Wandell- Lachenauer of Montana; sisters, Marsha (Mike) Huffman, and Sarah (Dave) Huddleston, both of Boise, Idaho, and Robin (Randy) Dellimagine of Meridian, Idaho; and 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Karma Bailey; and one brother, Dennis Bailey.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
