He was a lumber truck driver.
Survivors include his two sons, Greg Vigil of Grand Junction and Tracy Allen Vigil of San Diego; two daughters, Ann Marie Mizushima of Oceanside, California, and Anita Keenan of Grand Junction; one brother, Anthony Ulibarri of Arroyo Grande, California; two sisters, Grace Esquibel of Grand Junction and Mary Grace Chavez of Denver; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Richard S. ""Poncho"" Broadhead
October 1, 1927 - May 21, 2016
After 88 wonderful years, Richard ""Poncho"" passed away of natural causes on May 21, 2016, peacefully at his home.
He was born October 1, 1927, to Clarence Broadhead and Graciana in Mancos, CO. His family moved to Hotchkiss, CO, where he grew up. In 1945, his family moved to Grand Junction, CO where he attended Grand Junction High School.
On July 1, 1950, he married Mary Broadhead (Vigil). He was very religious and attended church services at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
He worked for Burkey Lumber Company for over 30 years as a lumber truck driver. He later worked and retired from Brookhart Lumber.
He was an avid and devoted CMU and JUCO baseball fan, attending all local games and enjoyed watching their practices on CMU campus. He received a lifetime JUCO pass, which he was very proud of.
His special interests and hobbies were woodworking, making wooden whirly birds, which are all over the United States. He enjoyed making furniture and miniature wooden dogs. If you ever visited his home you could not leave without receiving a gift of a bird or a dog. He loved fishing on the Grand Mesa too.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Broadhead. He is survived by brother, Tony Ulibarri and sisters, Grace Esquibel and Mary Grace Chaves; daughters, Ann Marie (Ron) Mizushima of Oceanside, CA, and Anita Keenan of Grand Junction; sons, Greg Vigil of Grand Junction and Tracy Allen Vigil of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Ali, Lacey, Brandon, Derek, Kyle, Charles, and Audrey; great-grandchildren, Finley and Roky.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road in Grand Junction, CO.
