Richard Lee Harney, age 70, of Clifton, Colorado passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Richard was born August 29, 1951 in Winona, MN to Harry Ray and Miriam Lucille Reifsteck Harney. He grew up in Tucson, AZ and served in the US Navy for 4 years.
On August 5, 1990, he married his beloved wife, Lourdes Pajarillo Harney. Throughout his career, Richard served as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the National Park Service. He retired in 2006.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Miriam.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lourdes of Grand Junction, CO; his son, Vincent Nick Harney of Grand Junction, CO; and his brother, Tom Harney of Phoenix, AZ.
A celebration of life for Richard will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary & Crematory, 2515 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, Colorado 81505, followed by a reception from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
