

Richye was born on August 13, 1955, in Vernal, Utah, to James “Jim” and Loretta (Anderson) Harvey. She spent her childhood in Rangely, Colorado, and attended school in Big Piney, Colorado. She attended college in Casper, Wyoming and later obtained her Veterinarian Technician certifications. She enjoyed her work as a vet tech and worked with both large and small animals. Richye attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bakersfield, California. She also lived in Bodfish Lake in the Isabella area of California and spent some time in Denver as well. For fun, she loved being outdoors- camping, hunting, and fishing. She enjoyed country western dancing and was exceptionally talented. She was a very good cook and loved to bake. Most of all she loved being a grandma.
Richye is survived by her mother, Loretta Harvey; son, Jimmy Foster; daughter, Jeniffer Foster; brothers, Mike Harvey and Johnny Harvey; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Harvey; brother, Bill Harvey; and son, John Foster.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. at Martin Mortuary. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Martin Mortuary.
