Robert Donald Cameron February 27, 1946 – December 1, 2018. Robert Donald Cameron went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2018, at the age of 72. He was born February 27, 1946 to Donald and Dorothy Cameron in Brighton, Colorado and spent his youth in the Brighton, Lafayette and Longmont area. In his younger years Robert (Bob) was a self employed truck driver hauling bulk milk along the front range of Colorado. Later, he was a truck driver in the oil fields of the western slope of Colorado and had many stories of his dangerous experiences. Bob enjoyed RV-ing, rafting, camping, fishing, travel and baseball. His grandkids knew him as Baseball Grandpa because he had extraordinary recall of baseball facts and stats and because he had visited quite a large number of baseball stadiums in the United States during his lifetime. Bob also traveled to South America a couple of times including a medical mission trip with his 2nd wife Sharon. Bob was predeceased by his first wife Linda Hansen and his second wife Sharon Cameron. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Cameron of Longmont, his brother, Jerry Cameron of Lilbrun Georgia, his sister Sherrie Piburn of Loveland, his two children Robin McGechie of Phoenix, Arizona, and Robert Kirk Cameron of Grand Junction, four grandchildren, Ella McGechie, Faye McGechie, Jamie Cameron and Jeremiah Cameron and one great-grandchild Emberly Cameron. Services will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11:00 am at LifeSpring Covenant Church, 743 S. Dotsero Dr., Loveland, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice. Bob was a very positive, jovial and fun guy to be around, he will be deeply missed.
