Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two sons, Kimery and Eugene, both of Grand Junction; three sisters, Joanne Uhl-Miller of Ozone Park, New York, Ruth Kase of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Millie Andrusco of Aloha, Oregon; and three grandchildren.

Robert Uhl
June 18, 1944 - November 24, 2014
Robert Uhl passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the age of 70. He was born June 18, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of John Uhl and Ruth Lucas Uhl. Bob grew up in Brooklyn and went to school to be an electrical engineer. He worked at Orbach's Department store while going to school and then went to work for Western Electric to further his education.
In 1971 he moved to Montrose, Colorado and went to work for KREY Television. He then moved to Durango and went to work for KREZ Television. In 1973 he moved to Grand Junction and went to work for KREX AM in Whitewater as the chief engineer.
In 1974 he married Nancy Vories at her parent's ranch on Glade Park. As a young man moving from New York to Colorado and learning about ranching was quite a change for him, but he grew to love it. They had their first child Kimery in 1977 and moved to Sacramento, California that same year. He worked for Cetec Broadcast Group in Sacramento and Ventura, California. Their second son Eugene was born in 1980 and they moved to Ojai, California. Bob started a company Petroleum Telcom and had it for several years. In 1991 he sold his business, retired and the family moved back to Grand Junction. He contracted with KKCO and put their transmitter on the air. He also did contract work for Harris Electronics and went to Romania and several locations in the states. He also worked for a Christian station in Palau, Micronesia for a short time.
He loved to travel and see new places.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Vories Uhl; his two sons, Kimery Uhl and Eugene Uhl; three grandchildren, Annabelle, Parker and Noah. He is also survived by his three sisters, Joanne Uhl-Miller, New York, Ruth Kase, Pennsylvania, and Millie Andrusco, Oregon.
