It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Robin (Rob/Robbie) Blaine Rowe. His titles were many: beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, and educator. Rob passed away at his home on June 25, 2026 surrounded by those he loved most after a short and vigorous health battle. Rob was born to Janice (Hill) Borah and Roland Rowe in Laramie, WY on November 12, 1963, the youngest of three sons.
Rob was an avid outdoorsman and dedicated educator. He pursued his formal education at Western State College, where he met his future bride, Sandy, and wrestled under his step-father and coach, Tracy Borah. Rob graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education in 1987, and went back to continue his education at Denver University, gaining his Masters of Arts in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies in 2002. He would go on to teach for 30 years, retiring in 2017. Rob’s love for his students and education impacted and inspired countless children and individuals, leaving a legacy of respect, acceptance, and (especially) humor in learning and life.
On July 11, 1987, Rob married the love of his life and best friend, Sandra (Sandy) Elise Hunkins, in the mountains near Almont, CO. Together they raised two amazing sons, Cody and Kyle Rowe, who emulate their father in every way that is good. Rob was an avid supporter of anything his boys did, which peaked when he became a grandpa, his grandbabies becoming the absolute light of his world, and wrapping him around every one of their little fingers. Robbie would take any chance he could to adventure in the outdoors: camping, fishing, hunting, and cruising through deserts and mountains on his side-by-side, with Sandy riding shotgun. His patience with a fishing rod could only be matched by that of his sons; his laugh and sense of humor will ring through our hearts forever.
Rob is survived by his mother, Janice Borah; his father Roland (Donna) Rowe; his wife, Sandy Rowe; his sons Cody (Elizabeth) Rowe and Kyle (Marisa) Rowe; his grandchildren Riley, Reagan, Eberly, and Chase; his brother, Perry (Tina) Rowe; his sisters-in-law, Lynne Rowe and Kara Rowe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him endlessly. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Rowe.
Rob was an invaluable part of our family, and a fierce friend to many.
