Ernest" Herrera, 72, went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2025. He was born on November 22, 1952 to Roy & Marcella Herrera in Denver, CO. Ernest graduated from Fruita High School in 1971. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1972 1975.
Ernest found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life: Jesus, nature & being outdoors, fishing and camping up in the mountains, he had a deep connection with music and was good at all the instruments he played including guitar. He also loved rock collecting and relaxing with his dog. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids, helping babysit, and giving all of his attention to them when in his presence.
Ernest lived out his faith daily, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He would give the last of what he had to make you happy or to help you out.
Ernest's life was a living example of love, humility, and faithfulness. He touched many lives with his kindness and strength and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
