December 1, 1932 – April 25, 2026
Romaine passed peacefully at HopeWest Care Center into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was surrounded by her loving family and Pastor Redeker. She was 93. Mom was born to Dan and Carrie Mary Bryant (Kestner) in Montrose, Colorado. She was the middle of five sisters: Dorothy Seevers, Virginia (Dolly) Rossi, Carol (Kinky) Barker, and Joan Elliott. They grew up on Iron Springs Mesa. She graduated from Nucla High School, then went to Mesa State College to become a teacher. Her first teaching job was at Gateway, Colorado. Then she married our dad, Rowbert G. Webb on May 21, 1953 in Washington State. They later divorced after 34 years, but with that union came the Webb kids: Warren (who only lived 3 months) Susie, Rocky (wife Christy), Scotty (wife Patty) and Wendy. Then came the grand-kids: Dene (husband Ryan), Chip, Brian (wife Amy), Romy, Aileen (husband Darren), Adam, Nando, Matthew and Julia (husband Patrick). Then the great grand-kids: Brenden, Brittney, Trevin, Mackenzie, Atler, Holly (husband Tevin), Sebastian, Eve (husband Raef), Sky, Ren, Alex, Theron, Arthur, Lyra, and Amalie. And then the great-great grand kids: Everett, Oaklee, and soon to be born Jesse James.
Mom kept busy raising us four kids, plus various activities like a PTA president, a Jane Jefferson, LWML at Messiah Lutheran Church and later worked at the Mesa County Trustee’s office. She loved to travel all over, camping with family, gardening and needlework. And was very active with her church.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, two sisters; Dorothy and Joan, two baby brothers; Sunny and Daniel, her son Warren, our dad, grandson Matthew, and son-in-law Todd Logan. And best friends, Bob and Barbara Freeman. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to HopeWest or Messiah Lutheran School.
