Ronald Jesse Bockelman

Ron was born March 1, 1943, to Herbert and Louise Bockelman in St. Joseph, Missouri. He spent his childhood in Grand Junction and graduated from Central High School. His major occupation was earthworking in the construction field.

On October 16, 1976, Ron married his wife, Laurie, in West Covina, CA, she survives.

Ronald also leaves behind four sons; Michael Bockelman of Wellingon, CO, Timothy Bockelman of Grand Junction, CO, Royce Bockelman of Mead, CO, Jeff Bockelman of Grand Junction, CO; a sister; Gwen Johnson of Soquel, CA; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert, and his sister, Gloria.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Lutheran Church of Messiah, 840 N 11th Street, Grand Junction, CO. with Pastor Timothy Stork presiding.

Our Dad was a good father to his 4 son’s, devoted husband to our Mom, and the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back. Making friends racing motorcycles or building relationships moving dirt, he put a special effort in everything he did. No favor too big or job undoable, his heart saw no fear. Our lost friend will be missed and never replaced nor forgotten. We love you Dad …… and as only Ron could say …. “Glad you got to see me”.
