Rose was born to Clay and Elizabeth Pinkerton, November 16, 1933, in Denver, Colorado. Rose graduated from East High School in 1951 and was married December 28, 1951, to the late Richard Lee Moore in Denver, CO, before relocating to San Diego, CA. She retired from the San Diego Unified School District in 1994.
Rick and Rose are survived by two children, Richard Moore of Colorado Springs, and Kathleen Jeys of Grand Junction, CO. They are also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Richard preceded Rose in death in 2018.
Rose enjoyed music, writing, plays, and concerts. She and Richard enjoyed a long happy marriage of 67 years. He was identified as Pooh Bear and she identified herself as Eeyore who said, “It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.”
Memorial Services will be postponed until spring. In lieu of flowers, Rose asks you to consider a donation to HopeWest Hospice of Grand Junction, Colorado, or your local Hospice foundation.
