A beautiful soul, Sara was a poet and lifelong lover of nature, animals, geology, and the outdoors. Some of her best times in life were spent at Theodore Roosevelt and Wind Cave National Parks working on plant identification projects for the US Geological Service. She also enjoyed many outdoor activities including hiking, backpacking, camping, and rock hounding. Sara loved the West and lived in several western states. The West was home for Sara.
A woman who loved her family deeply, Sara’s presence was a source of strength and joy to others. She will be remembered for her beautiful spirit and the great impact she had on those around her, and she is deeply missed.
