Shanta Ti Flowers

Born on September 9, 1980, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, Shanta was the beloved daughter of Shirlene (Charlie) Kay Manning Davis and Evan Harvey Davis II. She grew up in Nebraska, attending elementary school in Omaha and graduating from Morrill High School in Morrill. She later attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

On April 14, 2013, she married the love of her life, Sean Eugene Flowers, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Shanta held various jobs throughout her life, including as a telemarketer and route driver for the Denver Post, and as a manager at truck stops in both Lincoln, Nebraska, and Watkins, Colorado. Her strong work ethic was matched only by her compassion and devotion to her family.

Shanta enjoyed many things in life—camping, bonfires, playing Bingo, family gatherings, computers, sightseeing, and playing Mario Kart. She was known for her caring, amazing heart, being a great mother, her laugh, and being non-judgemental. She loved her children and grandchildren very much.

She is survived by her husband, Sean Eugene Flowers; her children: George Henry Davis II (and his children Aria Davis and Greyson Ray Davis), Jayden Reed, and Autumn Renea Stone; and her beloved foster children: Tyler Bradford, Jeremy Martinez, Mary Ann McBride, and Hannah Jo.

She also leaves behind her father, Evan Harvey Davis II; her sister, Miaya (Jean Davis) Larson, and Miaya’s children: Austin Joseph Harvey Smith, Brian Michael Joseph Smith (with Matricia Overfield), and Charlie Jo Jean Smith; and her brother, Jeffery Daniel Davis, and his children: Daneille Mims (with Travis Mims) and Taylor Davis.

Shanta will also be remembered by her extended family:

Her aunt, Deborah K. (Davis) Poole, and her family: Brandon & Nakeda (Green) Lightfoot (children Katherine "Kat", CJ, and Daniel), Jason, and Traver & Marissa Walsh (children Ashley Hutson, Michael, and Kristine Erickson); her uncle, Jody Green; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws including Patricia Gates, Yvonne Scott, Teresa Scott Duncan, Kim Scott Erps, Michael Wolfe (Wolfman), Catherine Thornton, Michael Rich, Crystal Haeft, and Anna Hopkins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirlene (Charlie) Kay Manning Davis; her uncles George Henry Davis and Randy Davis; and her aunts Cathie Davis and Susan Davis.

She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
