Stanley Laythe McFarland

September 8, 1932 -March 8, 2016

Stanley McFarland passed away on March 8, 2016, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was 83 years old.

He was born on September 8, 1932, to Robert P. and Idella (Ustrud) McFarland in Hayden, Colorado. Over the years he had different occupations, including: truck driver, contractor, land developer, and he was a world class custom gunmaker.

Stanley was a charter member of the American Custom Gunmaker's Guild, Shriners, car and motorcycle clubs, as well as a Korean War veteran. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, woodworking, water skiing, and going to the kids' baseball games.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Carmen McFarland. Stanley is survived by his wife, Darlya McFarland; his sons, Max and Rob McFarland; and four grandsons.

Visitation will take place at Martin Mortuary, Wednesday, March 16th at 12 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM.
