Steve was born on September 2, 1955, in Fruita, Colorado, to George Curtis and Myrel Catherine McDaniel. He spent his childhood in Grand Junction, and attended R-5 High School there. He married Susan K. Pollock on September 5, 1975 in Fruita, and the couple lived in Mack, Colorado before moving back to Fruita where they spent the last three years. Steve was a heavy equipment operator and pipeline inspector. He loved hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed.
Steve is survived by his wife, Susan K. McDaniel of Fruita; sons, Justin (Jessica) McDaniel of Mack, and Curtis (Aliene) McDaniel of Loma, Colorado; his sister, Nancy Killie of Grand Junction; and five grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
