Stuart Jones

He died suddenly while on his morning walk with Mary.

He was born in Newark, NJ Friday July 13, 1945. Shortly thereafter he moved with his parents, Ismon & Ida Jones to Mendon, MI where he thrived on Jones RD.

He graduated from Mendon High School, Michigan State University, received a master's degree from Michigan State, and his law degree from University of Michigan. He worked as a Prosecuting Attorney in Saginaw, MI where he met his wife, Mary Sommerfeld. They moved to Grand Junction, CO in 1982. He worked at the District Attorney's office prior to setting up in private practice. He was the Attorney for the Mesa County Child Support Unit. A group of people he admired.

Stuart's passions were Michigan State basketball, golf, his cat, Scottie and traveling to Europe with Mary.

Proceeded in death by parents, Ismon & Ida Jones and brother Frank Jones. He is survived by his wife Mary, sister Sue Jones, niece Katie Del Castillo, brother-in-law John Sommerfeld and niece Karen Sommerfeld and bitey Scottie.

In lieu of flowers, what would Stuart want? For MSU to win the NCAA? For all his golfing buddies to sink a hole in one? For someone to think critically? For someone to diagram a sentence properly?
