Survivors include two sons, Bill of Cedaredge and Bud of Glade Park; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Thelma Marie Pease

Thelma M. (Kinman) Pease passed away on January 29, 2015 at her home in Grand Junction, Co. surrounded by family and friends. She was born December 26, 1923 in Coffeyville, Ks. She grew up in Kansas and Texas. After high school she attended Business College in St. Louis, Mo. and went to work for Loffland Brothers Drilling Company in Clay City, Ill. where she met her future husband Lee Pease. They married 3 years later in Vernal, Ut. in August of 1945 while following the booming oil industry throughout the West. Lee and Thelma settled in Grand Junction in 1959 after stops in most of the western states and Alberta, Canada.
Thelma was especially fond of playing bridge and of telling jokes. She was a lifelong Broncos fan, and enjoyed watching the games with her family and friends. Her husband Lee passed away in 1984, and she never remarried saying, “Why bother? I get to do exactly as I please now.” Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Thelma is survived by two sons: Bill Pease (Kim) of Cedaredge, Co. , Bud Pease (Liz) of Glade Park, Co., Five grandchildren: Kristine (Len) Wunderwald of Palisade, Co., Jamie (Jon) Parker of Puyallup, Wa., Brandon (Bree) Pease of Fruita, Co., Corey (Laura) Graham of Fruita, Co., and Chance (Chasity) Graham of Glade Park, Co. and seven great-grand children : Alec, Levi, Eva, Samara, Madelyn, Aubrey and Gracie.
A celebration of life/luncheon will be held in her honor on Saturday February 28, 2015 from 11 am-2pm at the VFW Post 4663 3224 F ¼ Rd. Clifton, Co. 81520. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope West of the Grand Valley 3090 B N. 12th Street Grand Junction, Co. 81506
