Timothy Lynn Rison

Timothy ‘Timbo’ Lynn Rison—loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother—passed away on Friday August 21st in Fruita, Colorado. He was born on October 6th 1960 in Hiawatha, Kansas. He married his soulmate Janet on December 28th, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada. A gentle, loving, smart, and funny man, he is remembered for always doing the right thing and his compassion for others. He helped people through his various roles in the Grand Junction Police Department, Probation Department, and Quick Temps. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast; he loved hiking, camping, and fishing (particularly with his grandson). He loved playing poker, blackjack, and craps. He also enjoyed attending JUCO games and, more recently, the GJ Rockies. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Alvin Rison, and his mother, Pauline Amelia Rison (nee. Kneisel). He is survived by his wife, Janet Elizabeth Rison; four children: Nichole Elizabeth Roberts, Tiffany Jayne Waite (Christopher Waite), Jason Quentin Rison, and Zachary Wayne Roberts; grandson: Vincent Alexander Waite; three sisters: Glenda Cannon (Larry Cannon), Susan Peterson (Monnie Peterson), and Sherri Trotter (Chet Trotter); and numerous nieces and nephews.
