Titus Robert Gould

It is with profound sadness that the family of Titus Robert Gould announce his unexpected passing as the result of a fatal car accident. He was only 17 years old and about to begin his senior year at Grand Junction High School.

Titus was the second born son to his loving parents, Robert (Bob) and Larisa Gould. Being the middle child, he would call himself “the middlest one” when he was a little boy. Titus was the spitting image of his father (both physically and in personality), so much so that his family would call Titus “Baby Bob” and later on dubbed Bob “Full Sized Titus”.

Titus grew up with his older brother, Creager (age 20) , and younger brother, Easton (age 16). They were close in age and had an even closer brotherly bond.

Watching Titus grow from a cute baby, to an adorable toddler, then a silly young boy, to a shy middle schooler, and finally coming into his own as a smart, funny, kind, and helpful young man was an honor to his family. They will always be most proud of the quiet good deeds Titus would do for others without wanting any recognition. He simply wanted to do good.

Titus grew up with a wonderful group of close knit friends, many of whom he met all the way back in elementary school. These boys rode bikes, played video games, and made many happy memories together. Their bond was equally as strong as the one Titus held with his biological brothers.

Tragically, on Sunday August 9, 2026, Titus along with four of his closest friends were involved in a fatal car accident. None of the boys survived. The Gould family wishes to extend their heartfelt condolences to the families of the other four young men who also lost their lives in this devastating event.

Titus is survived by both of his parents, Bob and Larisa, his brothers Creager and Easton, his grandmother, Donna, and many extended family members. He is also dearly missed by his beloved pets, Scamper and Gator.

A private memorial service for Titus’ family, friends, and coworkers will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 3pm at Callahan Edfast Mortuary. The family requests that this memorial be only for those who knew Titus or his family and that members of the general public please refrain from attending. All news media outlets will be turned away immediately from the premises.

A public celebration of life for all five victims and their families is going to be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 6:30pm at Las Colonias Amphitheater. Doors will open at 5:30pm to the public. The community is invited to join us for this event.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to each of the other four victims families’ fundraising accounts. The family will honor Titus by continuing his legacy of performing quiet good deeds and by having a cold Dr. Pepper.
