Velma Miller

Velma married the late William F. Miller in 1946, and they lived together in Palisade for the entirety of their 51-year marriage. Velma was passionate about feeding people good homemade food. She was an excellent cook and made her living working in the cafeterias of School District 51 and Community Hospital.

Velma is survived by her son, Dan and Debbie Miller of Palisade; her grandchildren, Shalauna Miller (Stephan Franklin), Lindsey (Steve) Barger, and Daniel Miller; her great-grandson, Brody Miller; and three sisters, Ruby (Billy) Dobbs, Lorena Dobbs, and Jean Trautwein. She is preceded in death by her son, F. Edward Miller; her grandson, David Miller; her brothers, Joe Molandes and Floyd Molandes; her brothers-in-law, T.C. Dobbs and Dave Trautwein; and numerous other loved ones.

Services will be held at 10:00am Friday, December 16, at the Palisade Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope West Hospice, 3090B N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
