Virgil Lee Valencia

Mr. Virgil Lee Valencia, born March 25, 1969 in Montrose, CO, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Grand Junction, CO. Mr. Valencia was a lifelong resident of Montrose, CO. He was the beloved husband of Valerie Gallegos for 28 years. Loving and devoted father of Ashley Gallegos, Melisa Valencia (Salvador Nieto), and Mykala Valencia. Grandfather of Isabella Sanchez-Gallegos, Kristiana Sanchez-Gallegos, Jared Sanchez-Gallegos, and Ezekiel “Pinon” Nieto. Son of Alfred Valencia and Evelyn Woodson Valencia. Brother of Gina Avila (Raul), Henry Valencia, Tommy Valencia (Christine), Freddy Valencia (Angie), Donna Valencia (and her son Jonathan Valencia), Debbie Valencia, and Dolores Valencia. Virgil was also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Virgil was an employee of Montrose County. Along with being a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Virgil had a passion for the outdoors which grew into a deep love for hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a celebration of his life at Grace Community Church, 16731 Woodgate Rd, Montrose, CO, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00am.
