She was born on 16 November 1922 to William Benton Vanderpool and Ella Sarah Washburn in Princeton Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Algene Duffield, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
She worked as a nurse's aide at University Hospital (then Colorado General) for 30 years. She raised two daughters, Sharon Henderson and Sandra Eastin.
She is survived by her daughters; their husbands Wayne Henderson and Larry Eastin; a grandson, Christopher Henderson; a great-grandson, Cameron Henderson; and a sister, Angie Stanley of Ft, McCoy, Florida. She also has many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Services on 20 May 2014, 2 pm, at Martin Mortuary in Grand Junction, Colorado, with burial on 23 May 2014, 2pm, at Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa.
