Wanda Irene Heath

passed away at the HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado on November 17, 2014. She was 81. Irene was born to Erdie and Myrtis (Harper) Butler on March 7, 1933 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She spent her school years in Oklahoma and where she also met and married the love of her life, Robert W. Heath Sr. It was through this union that she had four children. The family moved to Grand Junction in 1978 where Irene was a proud homemaker and Robert retired. Irene excelled at motherhood and cherished her wonderful husband and children.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband, son Richard, and her parents. She is survived by her son Robert W. Heath Jr. of Arvada, Colorado, her daughters Sharron Blasdel of Fruita, Colorado and Karen Johnson of Grand Junction, Colorado, one brother, Clyde Butler of Ada, Oklahoma, and two sisters Pauline in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lorraine (Tootsie) in Farmington, New Mexico. Wanda is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 26th, from 9AM-11AM at Martin Mortuary, with funeral services to immediately follow and internment at Memorial Gardens in Grand Junction.
