

Wayne was in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gladys Jane Carlile and William Valentine Perschon on Feb. 7, 1934. He graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City in 1952.
He married Carole Jacobs on June 10, 1955. Wayne and Carol lived in San Francisco, CA, while he served in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged, they settled in Heber City, Utah, to begin raising their three children. During this time Wayne owned and operated an Air Conditioning & Heating company until 1978, when they moved to Grand Junction.
After moving to Grand Junction, Wayne worked at Jacobs Drilling, and Leitner – POMA before retiring, but even in retirement he kept busy working at Sam’s Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
He is survived by his son, Steve Perschon, Grand Junction; his daughter, Soonae (Jason) Sakow, Brooklyn, NY; He leaves behind six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, son, Monte Perschon, and wife, Carol Jacobs Perschon, and daughter in law, Zoe Leigh Perschon.
Wayne will be buried at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado alongside his wife, Carole Perschon. Military Service will be held at a later date.
