Aaron is survived by his wife, Melanie Ferguson; children, Aaron Casey Ferguson and Gage Evans; siblings, Julie Garner, Stuart Ferguson, Catherine Ferguson, Suzanne Poole, Bill and Crystal Ferguson; nephews, Matthew Garner, Gunnar Ferguson, Brandon Ferguson, Luke Farland, Christopher Martin, and Michael Ferguson; nieces Shelby Jackson, Tera Harrison, Sandra Ferguson, and Ezra Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Donald Ferguson and Elizabeth Joan Ferguson, his sister in law Sandra Zak, and his brother in law Russ Poole.
Aaron was born in 1964 at the United States Airforce Base in Toul-Rosieres, France to Robert Donald Ferguson and Elizabeth Joan Ferguson. He graduated from East Texas State University History/Earth and Life Science, Commerce Texas in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education. He was employed at Unysen Health as a Customer Service Manager.
Aaron’s interests included his favorite sports teams, the Houston Astros, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved viewing the stars and planets and always marveled at God’s great wonders. He was talented and skillful in playing the guitar and used his gift to give praise and worship to The Lord. He was a member of the church band for The Second Chance Church in Grand Prairie Texas from 2014 to 2017. He was a witty and gracious individual who loved The Lord with all his heart and was passionate about serving, drawing closer to Jesus, and spreading His gospel. He was an active and dedicated member of Grace Fellowship Church in Grand Prairie Texas and served as an Usher and on the Events set up and take down team.
A Memorial is scheduled for 11:00am on February 24th at Grace Fellowship Church 1690 W. Polo Rd. Ste 100 Grand Prairie Texas 75052. Pastor Joe Oakley will officiate the memorial. The Ferguson family would like to thank Dr. Li, Dr. Patel, the Registered Nurses Jon and Ross, and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Team of Medical City of Arlington, as well as the Arlington Fire Department and Emergency Transport Team for their lifesaving efforts, care, and dedication. The family would also like to thank all of the friends and family who have supported us with prayer, love, and words of comfort.
