Alberto “Beto” De Jesus Berumen, 57, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025. Born on April 12, 1968, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Beto lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service.
Beto graduated in May 1987 and went on to proudly serve his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he built a successful career as a Project Manager, Telecommunications Consultant, and valued employee with Dallas ISD and Dikita. His hard work, determination, and commitment were evident in everything he did.
On August 11, 1988, Beto married the love of his life, Josephine Magana Berumen. Together they shared 37 beautiful years of marriage, raising a loving family and creating countless cherished memories. Family was always at the heart of Beto’s life.
Beto’s favorite pastimes included taking casino trips, collecting military memorabilia, and working tirelessly — often joking that he didn’t know how to take a day off. Above all, he found his greatest joy in time spent with his family and loved ones.
He will forever be remembered by his devoted wife Josephine Magana Berumen; his beloved children Michael Berumen, Albert Berumen, Josie and Kendall Smith, and Jenni Tobias and Daniel Guardado; and his precious grandchildren MaKayla Smith, Heidi and Neymar Guardado-Tobias, and LD Jr. Berumen.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Francisco Berumen & Francisca Berumen, Miguel Berumen, Pascual & Dora Berumen, Jose Berumen, Martin & Alice Berumen, Maria Lopez, Teresa Alvarado, and Ana & Francisco Loera, Mickey Berumen, Marty Berumen; along with fifty-two nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews who will always hold him close in their hearts.
Beto is reunited in eternal rest with his parents Jose Angel Berumen and Maria Guadalupe Reyes; three sisters; one grandchild; and two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Beto will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his laughter, his strength, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His legacy of loyalty, honor, and family devotion will live on through all who knew and loved him.
