Anna Maria Jorkin

Anna Maria Jorkin, beloved wife, mother, educator, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on July 30, 1953, in Alice, Texas, to Vincente Del Bosque and Ofelia Del Bosque.

Anna made her home in Grand Prairie, Texas, where she was known for her caring heart, strength, and devotion to her family. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington and dedicated her life to education and serving others. Following her college graduation, Anna began her teaching career with Grand Prairie ISD, where she faithfully taught and inspired countless students until her retirement in 2018.

On January 12, 1974, Anna married the love of her life, Jose Clemente Jorkin. Together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage built on love, faith, partnership, and devotion to family.

She was a proud and devoted mother to her two children, Joshua Jorkin and Rebecca Jorkin, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Anna cherished the time she spent with her family and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support for those she loved.

Anna’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, former students, and all whose lives she touched.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Services will be held at Grand Prairie Funeral Home Chapel, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050, on May 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 pm.
