Aurora Gutierrez

She was born in Dallas, Texas on November 29, 1936.

On May 19, 1964, she married Jesse Gutierrez. They were married for 50 years.

Aurora was a founder of Templo Betania. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years, as well as a Missionette Leader. She and her husband often volunteered to drive people to church and back home afterwards.

Aurora enjoyed time in her garden working with her plants and flowers. She decorated her house with finds from antique stores, as well as garage sales. She had an appreciation for beautiful jewelry.

Aurora is survived by her son, Samuel Gutierrez and his wife Norma, her daughter, Jessica Denham and her husband David; grandchildren: Nathan Gutierrez, Sarah Gutierrez, Christine Denham, and Cassandra Denham.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gutierrez, her parents, Secundino and Ynez Pizaña, her brothers Antonio, Joe, Domingo, Gilbert, and her sisters Faye and Teresa.

A visitation for Aurora will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.

A graveside service will occur Friday, November 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
