Aurora was born in San Martin Hidalgo, Jalisco, Mexico on February 10,1938. She married Ernesto Tejeda in 1957 and was married for 53 years until his death in 2011. She went on to have 5 children and moved to Grand Prairie from Chicago in 1973.
In 1975, Aurora and Ernesto opened the now legendary La Tapatia Bakery. Her family continued to grow to include 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was a stunning woman, respected and admired by all who knew her. Always ready to help those in need.
Aurora is survived by her children; Jose E. Tejeda, Patricia Tejeda, Yolanda Tejeda- Chavez (Abelardo), Adriana G. Tejeda, Salvador A. Tejeda. Her grandchildren; Christina A. Tejeda, Estevan E. Cortez, Sarah Figueroa, Joel C. Cortez, Ariana G. Orozco (Juan), Adam Flores II (Samarah), Selina L. Tejeda, Loralee Herrera; Great Grandchildren Christian S. Estrada, Niya J. Gomez, Salvador M. Figueroa, Laila R. Gomez Noah R. Gomez, Jakob P. Estrada, Nevaeh S. Flores,Thalia E., Eliora G. Cortez, Jaxton B. Byers, Oaklyn Byers, Laikyn K. Byers, Adryan Acevedo, and Ty Acevedo; as well as her beloved siblings, sisters and brothers in law, and many dear nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
