Bobby G. King, Sr. and Marvis Jean King

Funeral Services for Bobby and Marvis will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Following the Funeral Service will be a Committal Service at 2:30 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.

Bobby Gene King, Sr. was born on November 3, 1930 in Collinsville, Texas to Elwin Dennis King and Ora Lee Christopher. He married Marvis Jean Burleson on June 2, 1953.

Bobby worked as a mechanic for 25 years at Vought Aircraft. He also had a passion for golf.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elwin Dennis King, mother, Ora Lee Christopher King;

grandson, Blake Jasper; and sister, Ladell Ramsey.

Marvis Jean Burleson King was born on February 5, 1935 in Pottsboro, Texas to Marvin Leon Burleson and Flossie Blevins.

Marvis worked in the medical records department at DFW Medical Center. She had a passion for God, church, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Blake Jasper; and sister, Joyce Owens.

Bobby and Marvis are survived by their children, Bobby G. King, Jr. and wife Lynda; and Shelly Kay King Jasper and fiancé Ray Wear; grandchildren, Jennifer King, Aimee Jasper-Crews and husband, Kevin, Justin King and Colton King; great-grandchildren, Ryah, Brooklynn, Declan, Camden and Carson; Bobby's siblings, Loretta Zinsmeyer, Joy Turner, Phyliss Geissler, Iva Gafford, Evorie Jones, Johnny King, Mike King, Dennis King and Elaine King, as well as numerous nieces, great nieces, and great nephews.
