Brent Jesus Badillo passed away on October 5, 2026, in Arlington, Texas. Born on May 24, 1971, in Montreal, Canada, to Jesus M. Badillo and Joan C. Badillo, Brent lived a life filled with family, friendship, hard work, and a love for the things that brought him happiness.
From childhood, Brent had a mischievous spirit and a playful way about him. A proud Boy Scout, he was also the big brother who loved picking on his little sisters. Those childhood memories became part of the family stories that would be remembered and shared for years to come.
During his teenage years, Brent enjoyed sports, playing both football and soccer. He also played the drums, showing his appreciation for music and the activities he enjoyed. Throughout his life, he maintained a love for fishing and NASCAR, finding happiness in the hobbies that meant so much to him.
Brent was a hardworking and dedicated man who took pride in his career. He worked at Rinker for 10 years, earning awards for his excellence in his trade. One of his proudest professional accomplishments was creating a safety protocol for a machine at work, an achievement that earned him statewide recognition. His work reflected his knowledge, dedication, and commitment to doing things well.
Family held a special place in Brent's heart. One of his greatest joys was being an uncle to Austin and Bella. He loved spoiling them every chance he could, creating special memories and sharing the affection that made his role as their uncle so meaningful.
Brent also found the love of his life in Susan. He stood by her through her battle with cancer, a deeply personal chapter of his life that reflected the importance of love and companionship.
Some of Brent's most treasured memories were made while fishing with his “Pops.” He continued to enjoy those outings until recent years, and those moments together remain a meaningful part of his family's memories of him.
Brent was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Joan Badillo.
He leaves behind his father, Jesus Badillo; his sisters, Tanya Badillo and Summer Munoz; his nephew, Austyn Badillo; and his niece, Bella Munoz. He will be remembered with love by his family and by those who shared in the experiences, interests, and moments that made his life uniquely his own.
Brent's life was defined by the things he cared about most: family, meaningful relationships, pride in his work, and the simple pleasures of fishing, sports, and time spent with loved ones. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A memorial service or celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Brent's memory.
