Carl was a devoted husband to Delilah Mae Reeves Young, is survived by two sons, eight grand children, and twelve great-grand children.
He served in World War II with the 71st Infantry Division, and was awarded two Bronze Stars for his bravery. He worked for Braniff Airways until his retirement. Carl also worked for the Garland Independent School district after his retirement from Braniff.
He will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth Veterans National Cemetery on September 10th at 12 pm. A viewing is available on September 9th from 3-5 pm at the Bean Massey Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas.
