Chuck grew up as one of eight but alas his two older brothers Jim and Bill were way ahead of him, and he was left to the ravages at the hands of five sisters, Margie, Frankie, Ruthie, Nanny and Mary, all who consistently “loved” him! He went to Grand Prairie High and had a multitude of lifelong friends. But He fought bravely.
As a young adult, he married, had 2 children, Erin who gave him 4 grandchildren Ella, Benjamin, Luke and Grace and his son Sammy, all of whom he loved deeply even from afar. He joined the Marines for six years and then became the best darn used car salesman you have ever met! He fought bravely and was forever Semper Fi!
In his later years, he moved to the lake and became the “super hero” that the local community grew to love. He was tall, good looking, had a crazy sense of humor, and oh those Mazur ears. He could do anything from leading the cheering section for the Cowboys win or lose, sing the best karaoke, lend a helping hand to neighbors, planting beautiful flowers and even at one point, saving his own sister’s life from a fire! But as much as he despaired, this superhero was only human! The heart he had loved so hard with began to fail him. That lake community, most especially those he adopted like Ricky, Donia, Cotton, Lance, Laura and Bo and his family rallied around the superhero, and he fought his bravest battle. Proving doctors wrong over and over when they would say your time is short.
And now the fight is over and as all good super heroes, he leaves us to join the ranks of the superheroes in his life! Mom, dad, sister Nanny, big brother Marine Jim, niece Tracy, nephew Mark, and his super hero sidekick, Auggie.
We love you brother including a multitude of nieces and nephews and may you rest in God’s loving arms.
