Cheryl was born on May 14, 1980 in Mexico City, Mexico. She lived and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. After moving to Arlington, Texas, she received a BA in Fine Arts from UTA in 2011. Her greatest love was glass blowing and her personality showed through her beautiful works of art. Her second passion was creating amazing food items and shared her talent at many local restaurants as a chef. Her many customers became her treasured friends. She never met a stranger and her smile and laughter were infectious. Cheryl was a light among us and, because she was a Christian, her light now shines brightly in Heaven. She attended Rainbow Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio and Southcliff Baptist in Fort Worth and we rejoice in the knowing that we will meet her again one day.
She met the love of her life, Jarrod Westbrook, and they were married on March 10, 2012. They made their home in Fort Worth, Texas. They shared a love for the downtown arts movement, enjoyed cooking, and building a life together.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Nettles in 2014.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; Loving Husband, Jarrod Westbrook of Fort Worth; Mother, Lupita Nettles of San Antonio, Texas; Grandmother, Adoy Castelan of Mexico; Uncle, Chain Mendez of San Antonio, Texas; Sister, Elideth and Laird Scott of Vancouver, Canada; Sister, Willa Brown; Sister, Jan and Cary Smith of Texas; Brother, Larry Nettles of Texas.
