Daniel Kenzig

Daniel was 1 of 9 children. He was always smiling and considered very hospitable. As a young man he worked as a department manager for May Company. He enjoyed going to the candy department for chocolate covered caramels. Joanne Abbe was the candy girl that worked at May in many of their different departments. After one day of working with Joanne, he knew that he wanted to marry her. Their first date was to see “Guys and Dolls”. The two were married July 23, 1982 and spent 32 happy years together. While living in Ohio he attended Spring Valley Grace Brethren Church and worked with the children. He enjoyed working in the yard with his flowers. He liked dogs, taking walks, traveling as long as the hotel had a pool and hot tub. He watched the T.V. show 24, and loved the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Daniel also enjoyed going to plays, musicals and re-finishing wood. He worked for CGI as a customer care representative and loved pretzels. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Kenzig and Teresa Lynch; siblings Steve and Patty. He is survived by his wife Joanne Kenzig; daughters Nikki Kenzig, Heather Martinez and her husband Jay; grandson Elias Martinez; siblings Christine, Chuck, Karen, Linda, Jim, and Sheryl.
