Darrell R. McIntosh Sr, passed away June 1, 2013 in Arlington. He was born February 9, 1953 in Oakland, California. Darrell moved to New Orleans as a young boy where he became the mascot of his aunt’s band. He had an great passion for music and this passion stayed with him all of his life. He formed his own band, New Orleans Explosion Band. Darrell met his wife, Mary Liebman at a music hall in New Orleans. He and his family survived Hurricane Katrina and moved to Texas. In Texas, he formed another band, Tyme Zone. Darrell was huge fan of Tower of Power and he loved to bet on horse races. He is preceded in death by father, Gaines Arthur McIntosh; grandmother, Bertha Scott Busch; grandfather, Eddie Busch; stepfather, Herman Burns and grandmother, Mercedes Butler. Survived by: wife of 27 years, Mary Liebman; children, Odwyer Fluker-Mercedal, Darrell McIntosh III, Courtney, Darren, Darius, Samuel, Darrell Jr., Brandy Bevins and DeMarco Lewis; 14 grandchildren; mother, Elaine B. Burns; brothers, Kevin McIntosh and Keith Gant; Aunt, Yvonne Busch; cousins, Danny and Melinda Duhe; nephews, Keith and Kevin McIntosh; Niece, Kiesha Thomas.
