

Debra Elizabeth Torres-Bustos, affectionately known as Debbie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 25, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 69. Born on March 13, 1955, Debbie was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of love and support in her family.
Debbie dedicated much of her professional life to supporting young mothers as an educational aide, helping them complete their education and build better futures for themselves and their families. Her commitment to nurturing potential was a testament to her caring and loving nature.
A lifelong member of Central Bible Church, Debbie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and comfort.
Debbie was a talented baker, known among friends and family for her delicious treats and warm gatherings. Her hobbies included baking, listening to music, and, most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Torres-Weatherd; son-in-law, Arnold Weatherd; grandchildren, Aiden Burns, Londyn Torres-Walker, and Noah Weatherd; siblings, John Torres (Michelle Torres), Denise Torres, and Christina McIntyre. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and William Torres, her sister, Mary Ann Mirelez, and niece, Christina.

A service to celebrate Debbie's life will be held at Anchora Event Center, 403 E Broad St., Mansfield, TX, on September 10 at 5 PM. Her legacy of love and dedication will be remembered by all who knew her.
