Donald W Simon

Donald W Simon was born on January 6, 1949 in Marietta, Oklahoma, where he spent his formative years. He went on to graduate from high school and college. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Donald worked and retired after 36 at Vought.

But more than anything, Donald was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In his free time, Donald enjoyed playing golf, and was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.

Donald was preceded in death by parents Charles Simon (Father) and Charlene Simon (Mother). Donald is survived by his loving wife, Frances Simon, his children, Valerie Simon (daughter), Jimmy Simon (son), his sisters Caroliyn Sugg, Elizabeth (Libby) Ray, his brother Tim Simon. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A funeral for Donald will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Lakeview Baptist Church, 2401 SE 14th St, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. Following the funeral will be a committal at 1:15 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
