Doris L Gooch

Doris Gooch, 87, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2014 in Grand Prairie Texas. Doris was born on January 26, 1927 in Ben Wheeler, Texas to Clyde and Nellie Freeman. In 1943, she married Doyle Gooch of De Leon Texas, and together raised five children in Grand Prairie. Doris was a loved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was a devout Christian, loved by her family, a friend to all and always ready to assist anyone in need. She is survived by her brother, Doyle and his wife Nel Freeman of Grand Prairie; son and daughter in law, Bill and Linda Gooch of Mansfield ; sons Mark and Kevin Gooch of Grand Prairie; daughters Karen Henshaw and Doylene Posey, both of Grand Prairie; granddaughters Robin Chester of Cleburne ; Amy Ozuna of Spring Branch; and Dana Posey of Prosper. Grandsons Mike Henshaw of Mansfield; Clyde Henshaw; Toby Gooch of Mansfield; Eric Gooch of Spring Town; Kerry Henshaw of Grand Prairie; Chris Henshaw of Grand Prairie; and Chad Gooch.; as well as, ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, her sister’s Patricia and Bessie; her bothers Bill and Clyde; and son in law Clyde Henshaw. The family will receive friends at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. The family will have a celebration of her life immediately following at 4:00PM.
