Doris Carlene Hubbard

Carlene was born January 3, 1943, in Dallas, Texas to Carl Allison Cummins and Etta Mae Fisher Cummins.

Carlene is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Hubbard, parents Carl and Mae Cummins, sisters Joyce Henderson and Betty Blake, brother William Carl Cummins, and son-in-law Sigmar Arnold.

Carlene is survived by her children; Jerry Biggers, Carey Jones, Carletta Money, Douglas Hubbard and his wife,Ileana; Siblings Frank Lawson, Shirley Chesire and her husband Ray, Bobby Cummins and his wife Gayle. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two great-grands on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carlene was a nurse for many years. She worked mostly private duty and in nursing homes. She also loved her job working with the babies in her church day care. She liked to take care of people from bringing in strangers off the street to sponsoring refugees. Carlene liked to make crochet crafts for her grandchildren. She also handmade dresses for her daughters at Easter when they were young. In addition, she made wedding dresses for her daughters and daughter-in-law. She loved Jesus and loved spending time in the Lord’s house. She was loved by many people. Carlene will be greatly missed.
