ARLINGTON -- Earline Survant Howard, 84, a lifetime resident of Grand Prairie, passed away October 1, 2012. Visitation: 2 - 4 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2012 at Southland Memorial Park in Grand Prairie. Born on December 27, 1927 in Dozier, TX to parents, Earl and Ada Nash Survant. She was very active in sports - volleyball, basketball and softball. She was also involved in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she worked at Vought and then retired from General Dynamics. Earline was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. Preceded in death by her husband, Doug W. Howard; her parents; her sister, C.L. Adams Adair; 2 brothers, Harold Survant and Leonard Survant; and niece, Janette Dennis. Survivors: nephews, Larry Survant, Darrell Survant, Joe Dennis and Kenneth Dennis; nieces, Brenda Survant Cox, Lisa Lopez, Rita Williams, Leta Bunch; dear friends, Euladean Hutchinson and Bonnie Ward.
